COMMITTED TO YORK
6th August 1812

On Monday se'nnight, Joseph Radcliffe, Esq. a magistrate for the West Riding of Yorkshire, committed to the Castle of. York, Samuel Haigh, charged with being one of the murderers of Mr. Horsfall; George Brooks, and Robert Fitton for stealing arms & threatening the life of a constable; and Abraham Armitage, John Shoie, George Beaumont, John Taylor, and Benj. Hinchcliffe, charged with Stealing arms, &c.

Early on Sunday Morning last, a party of depredators about thirty in number, went to the house of Mr. Robt. Burly of Elland, who resides near the guardroom of the patrole, and demanded his gun, which they received and carried away.
