Bull Hotel was not constructed until 1939. Prior to this the town Post Office had been located in the building at the bottom of King Street that now houses Nancy's Flower Box and a hair salon.

Bridge, where this picture was taken, used to be a pub called the Jolly Sailor. Another long gone pub was the Wellington Inn built in 1815 it stood on the site next to the Natwest Bank.
