Someone beat me to it! Both these views of BRITANNIA MILLS in Station Road are taken from the loading door of Crowthers Maltings. The first picture was probably taken around the turn
of the century and the second in the mid- 1920's. The true name of the canal bridge in the foreground is Bull Bridge, rumored to have taken this name from days long ago when bull baiting events were
held near by. The modern picture isn't from exactly the same position but since the maltings burned down in the 1960's it not too bad an attempt!
