From the early days in the 1860's when it first opened, the Town Hall has provided entertainment for many generations of Mirfield folk, providing a venue for orchestra and dance.
Then in later years the Town Hall served as a cinema and in the '70's became Mirfield's first disco; If memory serves me correctly being called "The Pentagon, Tramps, Fusion, Panache, C.J's and Hardtimes", before finally closing the doors on two generations of clubbers in the late 1990's.
