The paper version of this book was created entirely on
Corel Draw 11. The pages were laid out by importing the relevant pictures adding borders then resizing them to suit. The problem with this however is that Corel does not compress files when you save them.
And as mentioned in the section on imagery the pictures are large files already, so one complete page can be 10 to 20 Mb when complete.
This can cause real problems when trying to spool several pages to a printer, but does have the advantage that the page is still fully editable at any time.
When a page is complete, it can be exported by Corel to another format more suited to archiving and printing.
The pipctures on the site were exported as JPEG files at 79 dpi and only take up about 50k each.
