This site contains a selection of photographs of Mirfield and surrounding areas taken over the previous century.

Accompanying each photograph of the past is a present day shot. This picture where possible will show the exact same view for comparison.

A brief background is included with each set of photgraphs.

This book may or may not reach print at some time in the future, depending on interest shown and managing to sort out who owns the "copyright" on a lot of the content.

The book was always intended to raise proceeds towards charity so hopefully not too many people will raise objections on copyright grounds. It will at some point be completed regardless of ever reaching print, if not only for my own satisfaction.

So for now you will have to be satisfied with the taster given by this site.
