 Acrobat Reader 6 is probably the industry standard for reading pdf files it is often packaged alongside commercial programs to allow you to view the documentation. So you may find you already have it installed, it is actually a stripped down version of the package I used to create the pdf but only includes the features required to read back pdf's. It follows the well known windows format and if you use packages such as "Word" you will find it easy to use.
