Can anyone tell me why there was a large flagpole on the pre-1939 Three Nuns Inn?
It seems a very large pole.

I am a Wakefield man whos half cousin was Sqn Ldr Joe Berry DFC** he was the highest scoring V1 killer in the war.
After 25 years of research into Josephs RAF career a fascinating story has surfaced, and it is my belief that he lost his life in Oct 44 trying to prevent the Christmas Eve V1 attack on Manchester.
I have located what I think is the exact impact point in Grange Moor using old photographs and local knowledge.
If you would like to hear this story please contact me on the above email address.
Kindest Regards,
Graham.

Hi,
I am looking for any old photos of the bottom of Nettleton Road, namely 1 Nettleton Rd at the time when the viaduct went across from Battyeford, hence the name of the Railway pub.
Any photos or information would be much appreciated.
