My grandfather was born at Hollin Hall, Hopton in 1888. His parents came from Ossett but the family are known to be living in/at Hollin Hall by 1881 - the census recorded the residence as Boathouse, Hollin Hall.Does anyone have any information on Hollin Hall? Would love to know more.

The photo in this link is causing some puzzlement. It was obviously take in Mirfield just after WW1 but there is a question mark regarding the date and occasion of the parade. Can you help please?

I lived at 2 James Street from 1950/1 until July 1956 and attended Lee Green Infants school c1954 - 56. I don't have any photos from my time at that school and wondered if there were any out there. I remember Miss Garside was the Headmistress and I know the school building is now a house - seems much smaller than I remember lol. Due to family reasons we left suddenly to return to Lincolnshire and didn't even get to say good bye to my 2 friends Susan Gibson and Eileen Wright. Wonder if they're still out there 60 odd yrs later. Thanks

Hi,

I'm looking for any images of John Cotton Group mill on Huddersfield Road. I'd be so grateful if anyone has any or can direct me to further information that may aid my search. I'm also looking for images of people who may have worked there over the last 100 years. Thanks!
