I am so grateful for the information already received from you about Blake Hall. I now wonder if there are any houses left on The Nab, or on The Knowl, or photos on record somewhere which would be homes my Grt.Grt Grandparents lived in in Mirfield.

I am looking for photo of Blake Hall, where my Grt/Grt Grt Grandfather, James Clarkson met with Mrs. Ingham for Christian meetings, first in the courtyard in good weather, and in the kitchen when weather was bad.

I'm involved in the refurbishment of the Flowerpot pub in Mirfield and wandered if it would be possible to get a copy of the photo on your website showing the Flowerpot with Parade Float. Do you have the original photo that you could scan and email at high res? Or is it possible to get a printed copy?
kind regards
Judith

Comments:Does anyone know where Eastthorpe Cottage was situated? I have a feeling it could have been where the Vale Cinema later stood.

Looking on the 1890 Town Plan those cottages were called Darley Place. I can't spot Eastthorpe cottage anywhere else so it does sound the right general location.
You can have a look at a bit of the plan here.- http://mirfield-2ndlook.info/DarleyPlace.jpg
And a photo of the place here.- http://www.mirfield-2ndlook.info/Trinity.jpg

Hope this might be useful!
